The Nokia N86 is a gorgeous Smartphone which supports 3G capabilities. It comes with a beautifully smooth two way operating slider casing which allows the user to slide the handset both ways to access differing feature keys to suit the user's features being used. The N86 comes in an elegant & sleek indigo black coloured casing complete with a large 2.6 inch screen. This 2.6 Inch screen has a 320 pixel by 240 pixel screen resolution complete with a 16.7 million colour display. The screen has a built in ambient light detector, a screen brightness control & has an orientation sensor feature. The Nokia N86 works on a Symbian 9.3 operating system complete with S60 software. This Smartphone comes with a fitted rechargeable battery, connectivity cable, video connectivity cable, headset, travel charger, user guide & an OVI Suite DVD included with the handset. The N86 is a member of the Nokia N series which includes other stylish Smartphone such as the Nokia N85, Nokia N96 & Nokia N97 which are all feature filled Smartphone. This sleek handset is compact which measures 16.5mm deep by 51.4mm wide by 103.4mm tall & it weighs 149 grams including the fitted battery.
A built in GPS navigation system with AGPS function supports Nokia maps with a compass which allows the user to get directions on their Smartphone to new locations. The battery which is a fitted rechargeable type battery can provide approximately 3.9 hours of WCDMA talk time, approximately 6.3 hours of GSM talk time or up to 11 hours of VoIP talk time from a fully charged battery. The WLAN WiFi connectivity allows the user to connect their Smartphone to a nearby wireless LAN or close by hotspot to gain a WiFi connection & allowing the user to access the Internet. The Nokia N86 is a 3G HSDPA capable Smartphone which supports high speed Internet connectivity, fast data transfer rates & the user can enjoy multitasking features with thanks to the 3G technology. The user can use the 3G video calling feature which allows the user to view a live video of their contact whilst the contact can view the user's expressions on their screen. A video call can be enjoyed by 3G video calling capable handset users which allows the users taking part to enjoy a face to face experience. The N86 supports both EDGE & GPRS technology which provides high speed data transfer rates when files are being transferred between the N86 & other compatible devices. This handset works on a quad band GSM network & HSDPA which allows the user to enjoy worldwide network coverage on their Smartphone. The overall network coverage on the N86 is dependent on the users chosen network provider. It comes with a huge eight gigabytes of built in memory plus the handset supports a memory card slot which can hold up to sixteen gigabytes of external memory. The user can insert a MicroSD™ memory card in the size to suit the user's storage needs. The Nokia N86 supports Bluetooth® wireless technology which provides the user with a wireless connection to other devices supporting Bluetooth® technology which are up to ten metres apart. The user may wish to use the connection cable provided with the handset to gain a cabled connection between their Smartphone & other compatible devices when transferring files & data between the two devices.
This stylish Smartphone supports video recording via the built in camera which allows the user to record video in popular video formats with a high quality viewing experience. The user can record their own video recordings using the main camera which has a lens located on the back of the handset & has an 8 x digital zoom plus it supports VGA type video recording at up to thirty frames per second. The user of the N86 can record video using the front camera which supports CIF video recording & allows the user to record up to fifteen frames per second. The Nokia N86 comes with video settings which allow the user to gain the best quality finish to their video which include a video editor, mode setting with automatic mode or night mode & the built in stabiliser which will ensure a steady recording is captured. The user can play their videos & enjoy up to three hours video playing time from a fully charged battery. The integrated camera which has its lens located on the back of the casing is an 8 megapixel digital camera feature complete with a huge amount of imaging & picture settings to ensure a top quality finish is captured. The camera comes with a dedicated camera capture key & a slide lens cover which protects the lens & allows the user to activate the camera feature by simply sliding back the lens protection cover. The 8 megapixel camera comes with a dual LED flash, CMOS sensor, photo editor, 20 times zoom function & an auto focus complete with an assist light & a two stage capture function. The user can view their stored pictures in the rotating gallery or create a slide show presentation complete with Ken Burn effects & effective sound for a beautiful viewing experience. The user can experience a call with up to six contacts which allows all contacts to talk & hear each other on one call which is known as a conference call. A built in microphone & loud speaker allows the user to experience a hands free call over the phones speaker system which means the user does not have to hold the handset to their ear whilst talking on a call. The N86 supports a VoIP Internet call which means the user can enjoy low cost call on their new handset with compatible users over the Internet. The built in email service supports document attachments, wireless email & allows the user to enjoy communicating with others via their email service whenever the user desires. The built in messaging services on the Nokia N86 provide the user with flexibility when the user wishes to communicate with others as the user can choose a messaging or call feature to suit the individual needs. The phone supports instant messaging which works like an online text chat with others that are online at the same time, a MMS service which is a picture messaging service & a SMS service which is a text messaging service supporting both short & long text input messages. The Nokia N86 comes with a built in text to speech feature which will read out the messages for the user if the user desires. A built in Nokia Web browser complete with a mini maps application allows the user to surf the Web & enjoy using a Nokia mobile search facility on this Smartphone.
